Following up on our recent post, we decided to recalculate the odds that EasyWaka is a trading system that relies on pure luck for its gains.
We did this calculation last year, but we have new data to analyze this time.
To do that, we'll take a well-known scientific instrument: proof by contradiction.
We'll suppose that EasyWaka is a random system and see what conclusions this leads us to.
First, we'll gather stats on real FX traders' quarterly results:
We know that most traders are basically rolling the dice with their trades.
They are either discretionary traders who are bound to lose at some point, or users of EAs without any robust trading logic and multi-year track records to back it up.
Real-world figures show that roughly 30% of traders are profitable within a quarterly period.
Since most of these traders were just lucky, and their trading is close to rolling a dice, that's the baseline one would get when trading with a random system
By this point, EasyWaka has secured 29 profitable quarters in a row on a live, verified account.
Assuming each quarter was a roll of the dice with a 30% probability of being profitable, the chances of closing 29 profitable quarters in a row are 0.3^29 = 6.86*10^(-16) = 0.0000000000000686%
In other words, if we were to start trading with EasyWaka right after the Big Bang, there's roughly a 1 in 26,000 chance of encountering a streak of 29 profitable quarters in a row, given our assumptions.
In simple terms, that's the definition of impossible.
So, we've come to a conclusion that contradicts common sense:
This leads us to the conclusion that EasyWaka isn't trading randomly.
Instead, it's relying on deep underlying patterns present in the pairs it trades.
That said, as the head of IC Markets has stated numerous times in the recent podcast, another important part of the successful trading equation is not overleveraging.

• Available instantly, with one click
• Ready to trade

To preserve execution quality and keep support at the level our users expect, we intentionally operate with a fixed user capacity.
That ceiling is currently set at 5000 users.
