China-Ethiopia Friendship Scholarship - Capstone Project Contest
The Government of the People’s Republic of China launched China-Ethiopia Friendship scholarship program in academic year of 2022/23 to support and recognize students at AAU. One of the schemes in this scholarship opportunity is to provide financial support to AAiT final year undergraduate students.
The total scholarship amount allocated for the program entitled “China-Ethiopia Friendship AAiT Project Scholarship” is a grant of 240,000.00 ETB for 12 students to be shared among the awardees (which is 20,000.00 ETB each). However, as it is know that students usually work on their final year projects in groups rather than individually. Therefore, taking this into consideration, the total allocated budget will be shared to 12 selected final year projects (20,000.00 ETB per project).
SiTE has been given 2 project ideas/works as a quota to be selected for the award.
In light of this, SiTE has prepared a capstone project contest session tomorrow at 2:00 PM in the afternoon.
You are required to present/DEMO your work ONLY for 5 minutes.
A jury will review and select two project ideas/works && 5th year students also vote on the most promising projects.
Venue is AAiT Hall.

January - March
Take IELTS! It is the base of your application. Minimum 6.5 is cool. If less than that, retake!
Don't forget to find a time to prepare for SAT simultaneously!

May
Take SAT! If your English is average, you can easily get more than 1300 by only preparing for 3 months.

June - August
Create Common App account and build your college list; work with a specific plan! Start writing drafts of personal statement. Before writing any university specific questions, have a deep research about that university. It is okay if you spend a whole week for just researching!
Retake IELTS if needed, but I recommend, If you want to retake, take your time and retake in summer not in fall!

September
*If you are not satisfied with your SAT score, prepare and retake in October!
Prepare your high school transcripts, and ask your teachers to write a recommendation letters for you. If they have no idea how to write, write yourself!
Most importantly, don't be lazy! Work hard and smart! Research a lot!

October
Write the final drafts of Personal statement and supplemental questions.
Definitely apply for Early Decision and couple of Early Actions.
*Deadline for most Early Applications is 1st of November
If you completed all stuff, don't rush to apply to all schools on your common app! There might be a mistake on your application on some parts. That's why double check and apply couple of schools after you get the decision of EA/ED for Regular Decision
