✅ Successful Joint Networking & Dialogue Session | EACE & EMAC
The Ethiopian Association of Civil Engineers (EACE), in collaboration with the Ethiopian Mediation and Arbitration Center (EMAC), successfully held a Networking and Professional Dialogue Session for Engineers and Legal Practitioners on May 5, 2026, at the EACE Training Center in Addis Ababa.
The session brought together a distinguished and multidisciplinary group of participants, including:
Senior engineers and technical experts
Construction law experts
Lawyers and legal practitioners
Judges from the Federal High Court
Institutional leaders and professionals from across the sector
The discussions were highly engaging and productive, covering the full spectrum of issues related to construction disputes, contract administration, mediation, arbitration, and the intersection of engineering and law. Participants openly exchanged practical experiences, professional perspectives, and best practices, reinforcing the importance of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) as a project risk‑management and sector‑stabilization tool.
We are encouraged by the strong interest, depth of discussion, and shared commitment demonstrated throughout the session. As a key outcome, participants agreed on the need for continued engagement, and a follow‑up session has been scheduled for next month to deepen the dialogue and advance practical collaboration.
EACE remains committed to working with EMAC and all stakeholders to strengthen professional capacity, promote dispute prevention, and institutionalize effective ADR mechanisms within Ethiopia’s construction sector.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all participants for their valuable contributions and look forward to the next session.
