'Chinese Ethereum’ Conflux Draws Spotlight as Hong Kong Welcomes Retail Traders

CFX tokens initially spiked in price after Hong Kong’s decision on retail investors, which some say could lure capital from Chinese investors.

“Conflux Network’s partnership with state-backed telecom provider China Telecom is a clear bullish signal on the network retaining highly productive ties with influential organizations,” Jeff Mei, chief operating officer of Taiwan-based crypto exchange BTSE, told CoinDesk in a Telegram message.

“Plus, today we heard good news from Hong Kong’s SFC that retail crypto trading will be permitted under regulatory supervision. While those rules are restricted to BTC and ETH for now, this series of bullish news for the Greater China region work highly in Conflux’s favor,” Mei added.

​Join the new Hack-a-TON x DWF Labs x AWS hackathon with a first prize worth $150,000.

TON Blockchain, together with DWF Labs and Amazon Web Services (AWS), has launched a new hackathon dedicated to DeFi and data analytics.

Participants will have the opportunity to join a vibrant community of Web3 developers, attend virtual seminars led by top industry experts, and showcase their innovative ideas.

The prize pool will be allocated as follows:

1st place: $150,000 in prizes
2nd place: $110,000 in prizes
3rd place: $70,000 in prizes

17 finalist teams will each be given $5,000 worth of AWS Credits.

To participate, please submit your application here. The deadline is July 27, but we highly recommend applying as early as possible to give yourself more time to work and allow for the registration process and team approval.

On August 11, our judges will announce the 20 finalists and the selected teams will have one month to prepare their projects. The event will be held offline in Singapore on the eve of TOKEN2049, the premier crypto event of the year, which brings together the founders of Web3's largest products.
