New Requirement for Visa Interviews: Starting May 01, 2025, all visa applicants must bring a DS-160 visa application form with a confirmation/barcode number (starting with AA) that matches the one used to make their appointment online. If the confirmation/barcode number on your DS-160 form does not match the one you used to book your appointment, you will not be allowed to interview. Please double-check that the barcode number on your DS-160 form matches the one you used to schedule your appointment. The system allows for a one-time change of this barcode number if you completed a new visa application form. Ensuring that your barcode numbers match will help avoid delays and ensure a smooth interview process.
Rescheduling Appointments: If your barcode numbers do not match, you will need to book a new appointment to proceed with your visa application. You may book a new appointment by logging into our scheduling system Sign in or Create an Account | Official U.S. Department of State Visa Appointment Service | Uganda | English and reschedule your appointment.

Consulates have now started REJECTING applications from DV candidates who went to the US with a B1/B2 and obtained citizenship through birth for this reason.
This was a situation we had never seen before, and giving birth in the US on a tourist visa was now officially a reason for REJECTION FOR DV PROCESSES.

Briefly, those whose files have been transferred to other consulates and interviewed are also being cancelled.
