"Ireland has one of Europe's highest vaccination rates, with 89.1% of people over the age of 12 having been immunized" - https://edition.cnn.com/2021/11/17/europe/ireland-covid-curfew-intl/index.html

I can't fathom why anybody would think in any way that this is a successful vaccination program. It's like putting money into a bank and when you come back, your money is down 50%, but the bank staff smile and say your money is doing very well, and other customers get same issue, then everyone cheers for the bank.
BBC is amazing. Headline about the trivial thing and mandatory vaccination tucked away in body of article https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-59343650
"Austria is to become the first European country to make vaccinations against Covid 19 mandatory, and will go into its third nationwide lockdown for at least 10 days from Monday, the chancellor, Alexander Schallenberg, has announced.

The government said it was preparing the legal groundwork for a general vaccine mandate to come into effect from 1 February, with exemptions for those unable to receive a jab on medical grounds.

The age from which people will be required to be vaccinated has not yet been determined, the government said.

Those refusing to be vaccinated are likely to face administrative fines, which can be converted into a prison sentence if the fine cannot be recovered...

Those who have got their second jab will in the future only be considered fully immunised for seven rather than nine months, and can get their booster shot after four months."

This also means forced “boosters” for everyone who thought they were finished after the first two jabs. #austria
Although this style of governance has been ongoing since March 2020, the brazen authoritarianism of these decisions and their attendant massive assault on the liberty of the people – unchecked by any constitutional concerns or even rational considerations – has become deeply frightening. Our country can now justly be called a dictatorship...

Austrian police officers now demand Corona certificates from people walking in the backwoods of Upper Austria, and they patrol Viennese supermarkets to make sure that the unvaccinated pariahs are indeed buying only food, not toys (this is not a joke)...

In Vienna, the state has already embarked on the next stage of psychological terror, by removing the power to decide from the hands of the unvaccinated entirely, and booking “vaccine appointments” against their will. They will be informed of these by mail. This means that the names of the unvaccinated are already registered in databases. They will probably also record the names of everyone who doesn’t come to his appointment or cancels it...

The Minister of Labour, Hubertus Heil (SPD), demanded: “No more access to the workplace without testing or vaccination – and no wages either.”

This effectively amounts to holding hostage or jailing anyone who decides against the jab. Their thinking, after all, has been declared erroneous, irrelevant and misleading by the independent fact-checkers...

Social, legal, and medical-ethical standards are rapidly disintegrating, state overreach is becoming the norm. Already, among the unvaccinated, the feeling is spreading that they are outlaws and have their backs against the wall...

Had they been vaccinated – so goes their conspiratorial narrative – we’d all be free of Corona and the national government would not be forced by lack of alternative to impose these draconian measures. They’ve brought all of this on themselves. Whining just amounts to an insubordinate miming of the victim's role. They must be punished, educated, and forced, if argument and persuasion cannot help. The mob are so certain of themselves, they have even produced smiling priests who publicly boast that they have “no sympathy for the unvaccinated.”...

As for the vaccine-faithful, who are in the majority and fully empowered, and who have the political and the media apparatus behind them – they made up their minds long ago and can no longer be dissuaded by argument. They’ll never leave the unvaccinated alone; they’ll pursue them everywhere, to the last corner. They have erected mental defences to shield their doctrines from every doubt. They are especially convinced that all the irrefutable scientific arguments are on their side...

I found this so strange, I hardly knew where to start. To begin with, there is the strange notion that has been fed to people for some time now, that patients should be arranged on a moral hierarchy, according to whether or not they have taken sufficient precautions against their infection – but only in the case of Covid, the alpha-disease that now towers over all the others and around which the whole world must revolve...

So I replied: As I see it, it’s a) rather unlikely that I’ll end up in the ICU or even in the hospital with Covid at my age and in my condition. Theoretically, I could just as easily end up there b) with myocarditis or c) with Covid despite vaccination – and b) and c) also apply to her. But this was all futility. The idea is fixed: If you won’t protect yourself, you’re a threat to others. That’s what this whole edifice of moral blackmail is built upon...

For refusing any subsequent booster, the fine is 1450 Euros – or once again four weeks of incarceration.

Though fines for individuals range from hundreds to up to €1,450, police and interior ministry spokespeople also fail to explain how they can verify whether an unvaccinated person is, indeed, just going for a walk, or headed for the mall.

BBC coverage of Slovenia. Looks like 10 people turned up to a protest. The day this photo was taken, at least 20,000 turned up (remember city population 250,000) and they marched to the outer road ring and closed it. This photo was them on the city ring road. But courtesy of the BBC, it suggest 10 people came out. Doesn't mention anything else like 15 years of tear gas has been used in a matter of months.
*** I think now, and we can perhaps get to this more fully, but now we're in a territory where the warnings that this event might be used for other reasons is now I think overwhelmingly clear that COVID-19 at the very, very least is being used for other things, for major economic and political objectives, which we can obviously talk about. I think that's clear now, so obviously this event is something which the important thing about COVID-19 is not this virus issue, which can be dealt with whatever it is, can be dealt with in the ways that we've dealt with viruses in the past. There's no need to change anything. It's obvious now.

Countries like Sweden demonstrate that and so on, so obviously there's a different level of propaganda here. This is about using it as a propagandized event to do other things.

Now that's starting to help us explain why we saw the propaganda in the early phase, and many other people were way ahead of me on this in terms of research and understanding, I think, but looking at the multiple conflicts of interest between in America, the federal agencies and the drug industry, and then the World Health Organization, and then WEF which didn't come on to talk about, but you have what is clearly powerful actors pushing agendas, pushing COVID-19 and so on...

And that this is about achieving something else. It's as simple a thing as the British journalist Neil Clark said. "This is not about a virus. This is not primarily. Everything that we are seeing is not to do with public health and dealing with the virus." *** - Piers Robinson
" depicts the resulting axis of surveillance capital linked to the US national security state. All the top ten finance houses hold large stakes in the big five Internet companies; only UBS has not invested in Amazon and Bank of America/Merrill Lynch has no holdings of Amazon or Microsoft stock. Note that the financial giants include Barclays, Allianz and UBS (and French AXA just outside the top-10), so we are looking at an Atlantic network, not just a US one...

Trump found this complex of forces ranged against him, acting through the Democratic Party establishment and the mainstream media. This, then, is the Atlantic ruling class that has occupied the commanding heights practically without interruption in Anglo-America, drawing Western Europe into its orbit after 1944-5 (see my 1984 and Carroll 2010)."

"... It appears that rather than let the population be exposed to the virus and …develop antibodies that give them natural, long-lasting immunity to COVID-19, Gates and his colleagues far prefer to create a vast, hugely expensive, new system of manufacturing and selling billions of test kits, and in parallel very quickly developing and selling billions of antivirals and vaccines. And then, when the virus comes back again a few months later and most of the population is unexposed and therefore vulnerable, selling billions more test kits and medical interventions (Frei 2020).

At Event 201 a poll was circulated that showed that 65 percent of the US population would volunteer to be inoculated against a coronavirus even if it were still an experimental vaccine. The income generated in this way would of course be astronomical—unless of course, a far cheaper alternative would be available that would spoil the whole enterprise... ** This book contends that since the financial collapse of 2008, populations in many countries have become restive in the face of extreme inequality and diminishing life chances. In a digital economy, one to two billion people will soon be superfluous, but they are not likely to remain sitting on their hands; in many parts of the world their resistance has begun. The Western capitalist elites have lost the capacity to engage their respective peoples in an equitable social contract and have resorted to stoking fear -- from the terrorism scare and the Russian threat to the COVID infliction, with more variants coming on line -- as a formula for curtailing protest and maintaining power.

It analyses the social forces driving this process: the US national security state and its intelligence apparatus, the IT giants spun off from it, and the large media conglomerates that have joined forces to create a comprehensive surveillance system of Orwellian dimensions... ***
"You'd have to be naive not to start to say, where is this coming from? If, for example, as the economist experts are suggesting, there was a big crisis in the finance markets, which we can see and which was occurring and that lockdown was part of the tools of trying to close down Main Street whilst they sort out Wall Street as the way somebody put it, the timing of these events need to be explored.

I'm looking at a book at the moment by Kees Van Der Pijl, the Dutch political economist and he's emphasizing, or at least in the section I'm reading at the moment, he's emphasizing the need to regain control over populations which ran hand in hand with the emergence of COVID-19, so he points towards what was happening in France with the Yellow Vests.

He points towards what was happening in Chile and also India as well and so on with these pushback resistance to authorities and establishment, so you get the sense of losing control, and then COVID 19 comes along. Wow, what a convenient opportunity to clamp down and to put everyone on a hold, in a sense, for a long period of time.

I mean, we can be a bit more specific in a bit about what I think the key things which we can sell are going on at the moment, but one is naive not to think, not to be asking the questions of what is really going on here? Look at the actors involved. Look at the timing of events. How bad is this as an event?" - Piers Robinson (Political Scientist)
Go and resist in some way. Don't wear a mask in some setting where you're being required to wear a mask and see if you can challenge in that way, that kind of civil disobedience technique you see with the Black Civil Rights movement in the '60s in America.

We need to deal with this by recognizing the seriousness of the situation and just trying to act and just do what we can, and that's the way to respond to this and see where we get with the resistance.

It's very difficult because you're right. It feels like we're in the middle of a battle, a very unpleasant, scary battle, which is taking us to dark places and so on, but the other thing in all of this, and this is something I think Nick Hudson from PANDA said, which stuck with me was this importance of just trying to stay calm and rational.

This is actually a conversation I have within my own family because we're all battling with this and so on, and it's scary. Sometimes you feel a sense panic at what's happening.

You feel I might not be able to do my job because I won't get the vaccination. Those threats are real and very tangible, but trying within that, just to try to remain calm and think rationally and think, "Well, okay, how are we going to win this fight?" We're not going to win this fight by losing our heads or panicking. If we're going to win, then we need to just try and be calm and rational and try to stick with that, I think.

"... The mainstream narrative should therefore be reversed: the stock market did not collapse (in March 2020) because lockdowns had to be imposed; rather, lockdowns had to be imposed because financial markets were collapsing. With lockdowns came the suspension of business transactions, which drained the demand for credit and stopped the contagion. In other words, restructuring the financial architecture through extraordinary monetary policy was contingent on the economy’s engine being turned off. Had the enormous mass of liquidity pumped into the financial sector reached transactions on the ground, a monetary tsunami with catastrophic consequences would have been unleashed..." - Fabio Vighi (Professor of Critical Theory and Italian at Cardiff University, UK.)
