Throwback to December 2020 when the first issue of Druthers came into existence. What a wild 2 years it has been! 24 monthly issues and nearly 6 million papers later, we’re still going strong! So many people (1000’s) want to help distribute Druthers and the demand is growing rapidly every month, which is super amazing!!

We raise $20k to $25k per month lately and that allows us to print 200,000 - 250,000 copies each month, but we have a volunteer distribution network across Canada that can handle distributing 500,000 or more in a month!

It’s a challenge not having enough papers to give to everyone who wants to help distribute each month. So, we aim to print more papers and reach more people.

To be able to print 500,000 copies in a month, we must raise $50k in the month before. If we raise $40k, that equals 400,000 newspapers. $30k is 300,000 copies, etc.

The cost is just 10 cents per newspaper which pays for printing papers and shipping skids across the country to our volunteer distributors.

This is an incredibly efficient & effective, people powered way to bring important news, information & perspectives to our fellow Canadians. Druthers is genuinely the most powerful way we know of for helping wake up more people as quickly as possible so please help if you can.

We really are making a difference and all the love and support from 1000’s of people all across Canada is what makes this happen, month after month. (Nearly 6 million newspapers in our first 24 months)

I shared this story 2 years ago today… and what an incredible adventure it has been since then! Thank you all for giving so much of your love and support to this project. Here we are 2 years later and we’ve distributed nearly 6 million copies of Druthers in every province across Canada with the help of 1000’s of passionate volunteers. Wow! Let’s keep it going. We’re aiming to print 300,000 copies for December 2022 and we can’t do it without your help.

Do you remember this first issue? Throwback to Druthers first issue back in December of 2020. We had 25,000 copies printed and that’s when the flurry of activity began! 6 million copies have since been printed and freely distributed all across Canada. What a trip it has been. Have you all heard the Druthers tune? It was written by the late "Wayne 'Double MC' Mouland" and performed live for the first time at the original Soulshine Festival that Druthers organized back in September 2021.

Wayne has since left this realm but he lives on through his tremendously positive, uplifting music and we're so grateful he created this wonderful piece about Druthers soon before he left.
