This is a very beta addition of the visual novel aspects of DR:ODD, built using TyranoBuilder. It is purely a visual novel, aimed to be a mock-up of what the game could look like.

This mock-up is not finished. There is incomplete art, sprites and backgrounds, along with placeholder images for backgrounds and art that have not been made yet. These place holder images are a mixture of stock images and images from the Danganronpa games. Similarly, whilst there is some original music and soundclips, the rest are songs from the Danganronpa games and stock sound effects. All these placeholders will be replaced.

However, the story aspect of the prologue has been adapted into the game, and this is where playtesting will be useful for the further development in the game:
- In finding grammatical errors or spelling mistakes in the game, along with keeping an eye out for anything that seems to be written in a confusing manner.
- Keep in mind for spelling mistakes, the game is written in British English.
- In finding errors in name boxes. During dialogue, there will be a name label for who speaks - and a lack of one when it is Aiko's thoughts. However, there are areas in which name labels appear in the wrong places, or are not present when they should be.
- In errors in sprite appearances - such as, a character not appearing on screen when they start talking.
- Along with this, pointing out general aspects which you think could be altered to help improve the experience of the visual novel would be useful.

There will likely be mistakes due to everything that went into converting the prologue into a visual novel format, and I would like to periodically fix these mistakes as people point them out, all to make the end product more polished. If you find a mistake, please take a screenshot and send it to Prologue-feedback channel in Discord along with explaining what the mistake is.

What will happen moving forward:
- Assets will be gradually made to replace placeholders.
- I will correct any mistakes or bugs found in the game.
- Once all the assets are made, I will start auditions for VAs.

I intend to release the visual novel version of the prologue proper when all of the above is done. As this happens, the DR:ODD programming team will continue work on building a more Danganronpa-gameplay accurate version of the game in Unreal Engine. Both will be released as separate games, the visual novel being an earlier release and for those who solely want to focus on the story. The joy of this being a fan-project is that we can release as many variations of the game as we like, all as we polish and improve the game.

The download link will take you to a .zip file. To play, you will need to download the .zip file, then extract it. To extract it, you need to left click the file, then select the 'extract all' option. Once it has been extracted, you can enter the file to see a file named 'ODD-(system - either Win32 or Linux)-x64'. Inside that file, there is an application file which should have a pixel icon of Aiko called 'ODD' - this is the game, of which you should be able to open and play. I will attach images that should hopefully help if you are confused.
