Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy are major drivers of preterm birth, emergency delivery, seizures, stroke, organ injury, long-term cardiovascular disease, and maternal and fetal death.
Tip of the iceberg; without structured clinical follow-up of both mother and baby for years, we have no ability to characterize the maternal-fetal safety profile of mRNA--but it's definitely not good.
