Carbonate compensation depth (CCD) is the depth in the oceans below which the rate of supply of calcite lags behind the rate of solvation, such that no calcite is preserved. The current increased rate of dissolution of atmospheric CO2 into the ocean results in an imbalance in the CCD, the depth at which all carbonate is dissolved. Hence, statement 1 is correct.
As the pH of the ocean falls, it results in shallowing of the lysocline and the CCD, thus exposing more of the shells trapped in the sediments to undersaturated conditions causing them to dissolve. Hence, statement 2 is correct.
