Explanation⬇️
Meerut Conspiracy Case (1929): In March 1929, the Government arrested 31 labour leaders. The trial got worldwide publicity but weakened the working class movement because of the arrest of its leaders and also due to the clampdown on the movement by the British. The three-and-a-half-year trial resulted in the conviction of Muzaffar Ahmed, S.A. Dange, Joglekar, Philip Spratt, Ben Bradley, Shaukat Usmani and others. Hence, statement 1 is not correct.

The Trade Unions Act, 1926: It laid down conditions for registration and regulation of trade union activities. It recognized trade unions as legal associations. Hence, statement 2 is correct.

Trade Disputes Act, 1929: It made the appointment of Courts of Inquiry and Consultation Boards for settling industrial disputes compulsory, as Britishers were alarmed at the increasing strength of the trade union movements under the extremist influence. The Government resorted to legislative restrictions and passed the Public Safety Ordinance (1929) and the Trade Disputes Act, 1929. Hence, statement 3 is correct.
Therefore, option (c) is the correct answer.

The correct answer is option (D) Punishment must be given to stop undesirable behaviour.

Explanation: While corporal punishment is unacceptable in classes, any undesirable behavior displayed by children must not go unpunished. Children must be punished in ways that are not violent and yet set an example for other children to not repeat such actions. If undesirable behaviour goes unpunished, it can disrupt the process of learning.
