e-Biz project was unveiled in 2013. It serves as a 24X7 online single-window system for providing efficient and convenient Government to Business (G2B) services to the business community in India. Even after years of its launch, the centre’s e-Biz is struggling to become fully operational.
e-Biz is one of the integrated service projects and it is also a part of the 27 Mission Mode Projects (MMPs) under the National E-Governance Plan (NEGP) of the Government of India.
e-Biz is being implemented by Infosys Technologies Limited under the guidance and aegis of the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP); renamed as the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
This project aimed at creating an investor-friendly business environment in India by making all regulatory information. In effect, it also aims to develop a transparent, efficient and convenient interface, through which the government and businesses can interact in a timely and cost-effective manner, in the future.
