TIL that between 1900 and 1925, cars were banned in the canton of Graubünden (Switzerland), seen as noisy toys for the wealthy. Vehicles had to be pulled by horses at the border. The ban survived 9 popular votes before being lifted on 21 June 1925, by just 52% [source, comments]

Yes, even the (German) mainstream media have jumped on the bandwagon, but for a so-called global hit, a No. 129 spot on the Billboard Top 200 is a bit disappointing. And I wouldn’t be surprised if Chaotic Good Projects also played a role in creating this hype.
