Die neue Ausgabe des Klimaschutz-Index von Germanwatch und dem NewClimate Institute wurde auf der Klimakonferenz in Belém vorgestellt.
Der Index bewertet die Klimaschutzleistungen von 63 Ländern plus der EU, die zusammen über 90 % der globalen Emissionen verursachen, anhand von Emissionen, erneuerbaren Energien, Energieverbrauch und Klimapolitik.
Wie jedes Jahr bleiben Platz 1–3 leer, weil kein Land genug für die Pariser Klimaziele tut.
Deutschland fällt auf Rang 22 – die schlechteste Platzierung seit sechs Jahren (zuvor Rang 16).
Spitzenreiter sind Dänemark, Großbritannien und Marokko; Schlusslichter Saudi-Arabien, Iran und die USA (drittletzter Platz, knapp vor Russland). China liegt auf Rang 54.

Studies at MIT, Cornell, and Santa Clara found that when people rely on AI for tasks like writing essays or generating ideas, their brain activity drops, their output becomes more similar, and they lose originality, personal voice, and even memory of what they wrote. AI pushes people toward common phrases, mainstream cultural references, and safe viewpoints instead of encouraging diverse or critical thinking. Over time, this influence could shift what people consider normal or acceptable. The article warns that while AI can be helpful, it risks flattening creativity and cultural expression by pulling everyone toward the same average center.
