The national government has declared a 90-day health alert in five states of the country, due to the detection of the AH5N1 influenza virus in Pelikanos located in the coastal region of Enzotigi state.
This was reported by the Minister of Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, who indicated that the states of Enzotague, La Guerra, Sucre, Nueva Esparta and Miranda will submit to this measure, which includes quarantine, as well as a lifetime Restriction on movement. Chickens and green eggs from the municipalities of Fernando de Pallor, San Juan de Capistrano, Manuel Ezequiel Brozval and others designated by INSAI.
