People need to do several things:
•Store enough shelf stable food (canned and dry) to sustain you for several years if possible.(stack it to the rafters properly stored)
•Grow as much food as you’re able to supplement the shelf-stable food you’ve stored. Yes, even container gardens and indoor hydroponic gardens!
•get a lot of heirloom seeds and learn how to save them from harvest (seed to seed is an excellent book)
•build a community that each home or apartment grows various foods and make a bartering community.
•get all equipment,
soil augmentations and pesticides(natural) needed to support your food garden.
•get all equipment needed to preserve the harvest from your gardens! Pressure Canner, jars, lids, dehydrator, trays, mylar bags, silicone desiccants, oxygen absorbers, canning pickling salt, vinegars
•water: storage, gathering, and purifying.
•Books on every topic for survival!

Having food storage allows you to hedge/insurance against inflation, drought, flood or famine.

Knowing how to use your food storage allows you to survive inflation until there is a currency recovery.
