Eight inspectors general abruptly fired by President Donald Trump at the start of his second term appeared in federal court Thursday to challenge their dismissals โ€” a long-shot case that nonetheless sparked fireworks during oral arguments.

U
.S. District Judge Ana Reyes acknowledged on Thursday that it would be difficult for the court to reinstate the eight ousted inspectors generals, who were part of a broader group of 17 government watchdogs abruptly terminated by Trump in January, just four days into his second White House term.

"Unless you convince me otherwise," she told the plaintiffs, "I donโ€™t see how I could reinstate the inspectors general" to their roles.

๐Ÿ’ฅSecretary Robert F. Kennedy's Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) terminated more than $330 million in National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants related to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and gender research in the state of California alone, Fox News Digital learned Thursday.

"HHS terminated more than $330 million in wasteful research funding to organizations in California that is not aligned with NIH and HHS priorities," HHS spokesperson Andrew Nixon said in a Thursday statement to Fox News Digital.

"The terminated research grants are simply wasteful in studying things that do not pertain to Americanโ€™s health to any significant degree, including DEI and gender ideology. As we begin to Make America Healthy Again, it's important to prioritize research that directly affects the health of Americans."

King Charles III experienced unspecified side effects of his cancer treatment and was briefly in the hospital on Thursday, Buckingham Palace said.

"Following scheduled and ongoing medical treatment for cancer this morning, The King experienced temporary side effects that required a short period of observation in hospital," Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

No details were provided on the length of the observation period nor what the king's side effects entailed. He has since returned to Clarence House, one of the royal residences in London.

The monarch's engagements for Friday have been postponed as a result. Charles was scheduled to have four events in Birmingham that he is "greatly disappointed" to have to miss, according to the palace.

A former technology employee of Freddie Mac was arrested Wednesday after allegedly making bomb threats targeting the mortgage finance giantโ€™s headquarters in McLean, Virginia, according to local authorities.

The suspect, identified as Maria Del Carmen Lopez Lozanno, allegedly posted a series of alarming statements on social media on March 25, 2025. According to a person familiar with the matter, Lopez Lozanno wrote that she was going to โ€œblow everything up in Freddie Mac right now so they know this is real and not fake. Give me a few more minutes and I will blow up this mother ** building at Freddie Mac so people know that this is real and not fake.โ€

Prior to the online threats, the 38-year-old Lopez Lozano had allegedly gone live on Facebook while driving past Freddie Macโ€™s HQ1 building and then continued onto the companyโ€™s campus, according to a person familiar with the matter. She later allegedly went live again, this time impersonating a senior Freddie Mac executive and falsely claiming that she had been rehired and promoted by U.S. Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte.

Fairfax County Police arrested Lopez Lozanno, charging her with making a bomb threat and trespassing.

Elon Musk and DOGE: 40% of the phone calls received by Social Security are from fraudsters.

They steal people's Social Security.

As a result of the world of DOGE, there will be more money, not less money.

"We learned 40% of the phone calls they get are from fraudsters. They steal people's social security is what happens. They call in, they claim to be a retiree. They convince the social security person on the phone to change where the money is flowing. It goes to the fraudster. This is happening all day, every day.
What we are doing will help Social Security benefits. As a result of the world of DOGE, there will be more money, not less money. Let the record show that I said this, it will be proven to be true."

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Inspector General's office confirmed the government failed to properly monitor tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors who crossed the border without parents.

โ€œWithout an ability to monitor the location and status of UACs, ICE is unable to facilitate court appearances and has no assurance UACs are safe from trafficking, exploitation, forced labor, or involvement in criminal activities that may pose a risk to local communities,โ€ the DHS inspector general said.

The report, published Wednesday, revealed that, from fiscal years 2019 to 2023, more than 448,000 unaccompanied minors were transferred to U.S. Department of Health and Human Servicesโ€™ custody, with the majority then released to sponsors. However, more than 31,000 of the childrenโ€™s release addresses were blank, missing apartment numbers, or otherwise incomplete.

๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅToday, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order to suspend security clearances held by individuals at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP (WilmerHale) pending a review of whether such clearances are consistent with the national interest.

โ€ข Security clearances held by WilmerHale employees will be immediately suspended, pending a review of whether their access to sensitive information is consistent with the national interest.

President Trump believes that lawyers and law firms that engage in conduct detrimental to critical American interests should not be subsidized by American taxpayers or have access to our Nationโ€™s secrets.

โ€ข WilmerHale rewarded Robert Mueller and two of his colleagues by welcoming them to the firm after they wielded the power of the Federal government to lead a partisan โ€œinvestigationโ€ against the President and others.   Muellerโ€™s investigation epitomizes the weaponization of government.

โ€ข In addition to WilmerHale, President Trump has also taken action to hold other major law firms accountable.

ANOTHER LEAK-WaPo: Federal officials are preparing for agencies to cut between 8 and 50 percent of their employees in the first phase of a Trump administration push to shrink the federal government, according to an internal White House document obtained by The Washington Post that contains closely held draft plans for reshaping the 2.3-million-person bureaucracy.

The details are compiled from plans that President Donald Trump ordered agencies to submit, according to two people familiar with the document, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk about it. The numbers, which have not been released to the public, show what could be next for the efforts that Trump says will make government more accountable, but have also upended agency functions and triggered restraining orders from the courts.

The document covers 22 agencies and doesnโ€™t have information in some categories. Several people familiar with the document stressed that planning remains fluid and that the numbers do not necessarily reflect what agencies will ultimately cut.

But it indicates that broad staff cuts are likely to have a significant impact on the scope of the governmentโ€™s work. For example, the document lists the Department of Housing and Urban Development as cutting half of its roughly 8,300-person staff, while the Interior Department would shed nearly 1 in 4 of the workers it had when Trump took office, and the IRS would cut nearly 1 in 3.

A White House official said the document wasnโ€™t up to date.

Israel complains about SignalGate leak after giving US key intelligence used in Houthi strike:

โ€œThe first targetโ€”their top missile guyโ€”we had positive ID of him walking into his girlfriendโ€™s building and it is now collapsed,โ€ Waltz wrote in the leaked message, which came shortly after the March 15 strike against the Houthis began.

Waltz didnโ€™t describe the source of that positive ID and earlier in the leaked chat claimed that Washington received โ€œmultiple positive ID[s].โ€

In addition to the Israeli source in Yemen, the US had evidence from surveillance drones that the strikes were successful, according to the report.

Privately, Israeli officials complained to Washington that Waltzโ€™s message about that intelligence went public, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing a US official.

President Donald Trump issued an executive order Thursday evening promising to eliminate โ€œimproper, divisive, or anti-American ideologyโ€ from the Smithsonian Institutionโ€™s museums and restore โ€œmonuments, memorials, statues, markersโ€ that have been removed over the past five years.

The โ€œRestoring Truth and Sanity to American Historyโ€ order directs Vice President JD Vance to eliminate what he finds โ€œimproperโ€ from the Smithsonian Institution, including its museums, education and research centers, and the National Zoo.

The institution, the official keeper of the American story, has operated independently as a public-private partnership created by an act of Congress in 1846. The order comes as the institution has been expanding over decades to include a wider, richer and more diverse telling of the nationโ€™s history.

๐Ÿšจ๐ŸšจRFK Jr: โ€œEVERYTHING is gonna changeโ€ with CDC vaccine policy

๐Ÿ”ฅ This is exactly what I voted for.

โ€œNone of the vaccines that are given during the first 6 months of life have ever been tested for autismโ€”the only one was the DTP vaccine.โ€

โ€œAnd that one study that was done, according to the National Academy of Sciences, found that there was a link.โ€

โ€œThey threw out that study because it was based upon CDCโ€™s surveillance system, VAERS, and they said that system is no good.โ€

โ€œThat begs the question, why doesnโ€™t CDC have a functional surveillance system?โ€

โ€œWeโ€™re gonna make sure they do have a functional surveillance system.โ€

โ€œThey donโ€™t do pre-licensing safety testing for vaccine. Theyโ€™re the only product thatโ€™s exempt. So what they say is, if there are injuries, weโ€™ll capture them afterward.โ€

โ€œBut they have a system that doesnโ€™t capture them.โ€

โ€œIn fact, CDCโ€™s own study of its own system said it captures fewer than 1% of vaccine injuries.โ€

โ€œWhy have we gone for 39 years and nobodyโ€™s fixed it?โ€

โ€œWeโ€™re gonna fix it.โ€

โ€œWeโ€™re gonna have gold standard science โ€ฆ weโ€™re gonna publish all of our datasets, which CDC has never done.โ€

โ€œWeโ€™re gonna do replication of all our studies, which CDC has never done.โ€

โ€œWeโ€™re gonna publish our peer review, which CDC has never done.โ€

An earthquake with a 7.7 magnitude has rocked Southeast Asia on Friday, according to the United States Geological Survey.

USGS is reporting the epicenter of the quake was in Mandalay, Myanmar, but at least one person was killed and 50 others were injured when a building that was under construction collapsed in Bangkok as the earthquake struck the region on Friday, according to Thailandโ€™s National Institute of Emergency Medicine (NIEM), which said there was an unknown number of people still trapped in the rubble.

The extent of the damage in Mandalay -- the second largest city in Myanmar -- is largely unknown this morning due to it being under very tight state control. However, it is thought that the damage could be extensive since this earthquake is stronger than many other historic quakes -- including the Northridge earthquake that affected the Los Angeles area of California on Jan. 17, 1994, which is remembered as one of the most destructive and deadly in California history. Bangkok is approximately 600 miles away from Mandalay and suffered notable damage as well as collapsed buildings.

NIEM said there were approximately 320 construction workers on site when the building in Bangkok collapsed at 70 people are currently missing, according to a statement published on social media. Approximately 20 workers are still trapped in the elevator shaft with the number of deaths expected to climb, NIEM continued.
