Hey, if you're a mobile dev, skip the emulator, it’ll totally eat up your laptop’s resources. The move? Run the app on your phone and use SCRCPY to mirror it to your laptop screen. You’ll thank me later! 😁

For your own sanity, always take mixed signals as a no and read the hesitation as rejection.

You deserve someone that's certain about you :)

The way you are living your life right now, are you defending a title, if so who would you be if you let go of the title - just something to think about - be true to yourself :)

Been thinking about this for a while

finish 86 books in the month that is left
The 14 books I read this year so far

Non-Fiction (Memoirs & Personal-growth, etc)

- The Lean Startup - Eric Ries - A practical guide to building businesses methodically and testing ideas quickly.

- You Are Not So Smart - David McRaney - A book that focuses on our self-deception and cognitive biases ( my personal favorite that I'll definitely reread ).

- I'm Glad My Mom Died - Jennette McCurdy - A memoir by the iCarly alum about the pressures of child stardom and her complicated relationship with her mother ( if you were an ICarly or Sam & Cat fan , you would like this book , a bit sad somehow the pressure kid actors go to , but you will love it ).

- Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing - Matthew Perry - A heartbreaking reflection on fame, addiction, and life behind the scenes from a beloved Friends star ( I still think about this book and read it twice, friends fan you guys will love it , so so sad the way his life turned out to be ).

- I Don’t Want to Grow Up - Scott Stillman - I don't know how I feel about this book tho, I feel like it was written for rich folks, not everyone can afford to drop everything and chase their dreams, but loved it either way

- Steal Like an Artist - Austin Kleon - A manifesto on embracing creativity by remixing influences.

Fiction

- The Guest List - Lucy Foley - A thriller set at a wedding with hidden tensions and secrets.

- The Last Thing He Told Me - Laura Dave - A story of a woman unraveling the mystery left by her missing husband ( I liked this book because the husband was a techie also it has a movie, watched it as soon as I finished the book ).

- It Ends with Us - Colleen Hoover - A contemporary romance that focuses on painful decisions and personal resilience.

- Conversation with Friends - Sally Rooney - A story of complex relationships and emotional distance - not one I’d recommend but I will read Sally's other book called " Normal People" .

- Cruel Prince series (3 books) - Holly Black - A dark fantasy world of shifting allegiances.

- Shatter Me series (9 books) - Tahereh Mafi - A sprawling dystopian-fantasy journey of identity, and resistance ( personally didn't like the book. I think I was a bit old for it I don't know, but managed to get through all 9 books lol ).

- "Mahlet" (ማህሌት) - አዳም ረታ (Adam Reta) - a collection of short stories, curated perfectly, absolutely loved it , it was my second time reading it actually

Turns out I love reading memoirs, it is a chance to learn from another person’s experience, and I hate reading fantasy, it was hard for me to picture the setting.

Currently Reading

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo - Taylor Jenkins Reid - so far it's good, tells the story of aging Hollywood icon Evelyn Hugo, who, after decades of silence, chooses a relatively unknown journalist, Monique Grant, to write her life story.

The Concept here is Kintsugi ( my friend told me this and I looked into it , it is such a beautiful concept )

Kintsugi, meaning “golden joinery,” is a 15th-century Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer mixed with gold, silver, or platinum, creating gleaming veins where cracks once were. Rather than hiding damage, Kintsugi highlights it, transforming breakage into a celebrated part of an object’s history. Today it stands as a powerful metaphor for resilience, healing, and the idea that something repaired can be even more beautiful and valuable than before.

It’s far from perfect, but this is what I’ve managed to build so far. From here on, I’ll be working on this project seriously not just as a side project, but as a real product.

It might not work out, but it’s worth the shot. Plus, having something big to chase feels amazing.
Hope you all like it. 😊

I’m guessing most of you guys already know about roadmap.sh, but I’m sharing this in case it helps someone. Whenever I want to learn something new, it’s my goto place to see the concepts I should focus on and the bigger picture of what to master. Beyond its roadmaps, it also offers guides, project ideas, industry best practices, quizzes, community roadmaps, custom roadmaps and so on, check it out it's great for a structured, self-paced learning.
