if I had the choice to see how the story unfolds, everything that's in store for me, I don't think I'd want to read it. I'd know every surprise before it even happens. Every new character would be boring. There would be no excitement, no spontaneity, no butterflies. You'd just be turning the pages, moving through time. Like if you knew how everything worked out in the end, falling in love wouldn't feel all-consuming and getting the job offer wouldn't be a dream come true and the unexpected friendships wouldn't feel like soulmates. We would never learn to listen to our gut or follow our hearts or feel proud of ourselves. Like part of the fun is letting the story play out.
Part of the fun is:
- Never knowing what comes next.
- Never knowing if maybe that rejection is redirecting you.
- Never knowing who you may bump into today.
- Never knowing if getting fired was the best thing to happen to you.
- Never knowing if saying yes to that first date will lead to heartbreak or forever.
The chapters may already be written, but if we were to read them all right now, we wouldn't live. So instead, I think we should just keep going. And remember that seasons of change are uncomfy, but they're also where transformation happens. And I think something really beautiful is going to come out of everything it is that you're going through. And I'm so excited for you to find out what that is. And don't forget, if it's truly meant for you, there is no way you can mess it up.
