It’s time to pardon James Alex Fields Jr from the 29 federal hate crime charges that got him a second life sentence without the possibility of parole (on top of the state first degree murder charges that got him life plus 419 years).
James looked up directions to drive home, but was redirected by police onto a one-way road that antifa then took over from the other direction, advancing toward him after a weekend of rioting at him; he tried to back away, then drove slowly (below 20 mph) toward them, then was attacked with bats & hit a hidden speed bump & accidentally in panic hit the gas, & fatally ran over one protester.
He immediately apologized profusely to the police, in complete shock & sorrow & horror. His dad died in a car accident before his birth & his mom was a paraplegic who raised him from a wheelchair. This was his first ever political rally. He was only 22. The media unanimously misrepresented this terrible accident as an intentional terror attack & used it as the direct pretext for the start of the big censorship wave.
James was then denied a public defender: their office refused to represent him, because their lawyers had participated in the antifa riots that weekend. Then he was briefly represented by the main lawyer involved in the campaign to save the statues at risk in Charlottesville—which the rally had been intended to stand up for—but this one also had to step aside for supposed conflict-of-interest reasons. The judge then appointed an odd ill-fitting lawyer, & among other extreme irregularities refused to let the trial be moved out of Charlottesville—despite all the clear issues the media circus around the rally & riot posed for finding an impartial jury—so that he could get fawning attention as an anti-racist official. For example, the judge let prosecutors introduce memes which Fields had shared months earlier—before the rally was even announced—as evidence.
Trump can’t pardon him from his Virginia charges, though they’re ludicrous: no properly-informed & fair-minded judge, jury, or prosecutor could really believe his actions met the definition of first-degree murder; only the one-sided media hysteria, censorship campaign, & courtroom shenanigans could make this happen. But he was forced to plead guilty to another life sentence (without the possibility of parole) on federal “hate crime” charges, because the feds threatened to seek the death penalty at trial. It’s time for Trump to pardon him & set the record straight, even if this doesn’t bring him home, on account of his state charges. He deserves to have the truth finally told about him, & we deserve to hear the truth about Charlottesville—which, remember, Biden explicitly identified as *the* reason that he ran for president. According to Politico, China is beginning tests of a new maritime shipping route through the Northern Sea Route.
A cargo vessel from the Chinese port of Ningbo will set sail on September 20. Experts say this route could nearly halve the travel time from China to Europe compared with the traditional route through the Suez Canal.
