Yesterday, two Afghan migrants raped a 12 year old girl in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.
The Warwickshire Police advised local councillors and officials not to reveal that the suspects were asylum seekers, fearing it would “inflame community tensions.”, reusing the same logic that enabled the grooming gang cover-ups in Rotherham, Rochdale, Oldham, Telford, and towns across England.

However, the attempts of a coverup were leaked to the newspaper, The Daily Mail, who revealed the names, country of origin and immigration status of the suspects. This led Warwickshire Reform UK councilor, George Finch to write a letter to Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper and the Chief Constable of Warwickshire Police to disclose the immigration statuses of the two migrants, trying to avoid a repeat of the Rotherham, Rochdale, Oldham and Telford coverups.
Finch also asks the Home Secretary to stop bussing migrants to his county.
This marks the first time a local government breaks ranks and turns against London over its policies of housing migrants and excusing them from consequences whenever they commit a crime.
