Majors dump overnight,

Suddenly tons of the new launches looking like this

โ€” But majors may be back on the climb

Letโ€™s see

1M follower twitter account got hacked

Now keeps posting pumpfun links, rugging them, deleting the tweet, and then posting another

Many such cases

Many

โ€” And this is why itโ€™s always very important to firmly establish provenance

A tweet from the famous personโ€™s account, by itself, often just isnโ€™t strong enough proof of provenance โ€” unless it has a video of them endorsing it or something

Need more

(A) Pure memes,

Where no one really likes the coin for any reason other than numba-goes-up

โ€” Letโ€™s be honest, would you really still love the meme, if you lost a bunch of money on it?

= Fall back to earth hard, when number stops going up,

because numba-goes-up was all they liked,

so when that dissapears suddenly thereโ€™s nothing

When they dump, they dump hard, and often permanently

โ€”vsโ€”

(B) E.g. startup coins, which still have big price volatility,

But when price pulls back itโ€™s not like they suddenly have nothing anymore,

People can still be fanatic about a product or strong movement even if the price tanks for a while

Not just evaporating into literally nothing the moment the price goes down

I.e.

MANY possible reasons the coins could have value,

โ€” But if youโ€™re still investing based on pure memes,

i.e. liking the thing JUST because the price goes up, if youโ€™re being honest with yourself, with literally nothing else redeeming about it

โ€” Then youโ€™re an absolute idiot and thereโ€™s no saving you at this point

Memecoins are not really about the memes

They can be about many different things, anti-establishment movements like $PNUT, they can be about startups, they can be about many things, they can be about someone rich or famous not wanting to ruin a reputation that they greatly care about, or not wanting to lose big unhedgeable money that they put on the line

Memecoins can be about MANY different things

โ€” But memecoins are NOT about the memes,

Not just about making the price go up

Or else price instantly crashes down just as hard

0-days old early-stage investing was never about technical analysis, never just about price movement, though that can have some minor role

โ€” This was never the domain where technical analysis reigned

Entirely different type of investment assessment always reigned in this 0-days old domain

Memecoins are not about the price alone

Memecoins are not about the memes

FWIW, memes are definitely something that should have some humorous nature

(First definition says typically, but more accurately to say definitely, and any cases otherwise are simply someone misusing the word meme)

Not humorous in any way to anyone โ€” not a "memeโ€

Ever look at the top market cap โ€œmemecoinsโ€?

โ€” Which is where you should be looking, if you care about landing the โ€œone deal that returns the funโ€ winner instead of just lighting your money on fire

Ever notice how virtually NONE of them are good โ€œmemesโ€?

โ€ฆand almost NONE of them are even โ€œmemesโ€ at all?

The โ€œmemeโ€ in memecoin is a lie

Memecoins are not about the memes

Youโ€™ll just keep losing money on pump&dump garbage until you get this through your thick head

But most will refuse to get this

Accepting this means they have no clue what theyโ€™re doing and are never gonna make it

Accept it

Memecoins are not really about โ€memesโ€ at all, rather other thing(s)

Memecoins are not about the memes

Why do you believe that memecoins are really about the โ€œmemesโ€?

Why do you believe that โ€œgood memeโ€ is the primary thing that gives memecoins value?

In part, probably because you fell for the name, โ€œmemecoinโ€

Bro, thatโ€™s like believing hotdogs are made from โ€œdogโ€โ€ฆ

But bigger reason is because you spend all day studying this pumpfun trending trash, because youโ€™re so desperate

โ€” which IS nearly 100% memes

Instead of studying what you should be studying, the top marketcap โ€œmemecoinsโ€

โ€” which are nearly 0% memes

Winners study the winners

Losers study the losers

Now letโ€™s study the top winners on meme-filled pumpfun

Andโ€ฆ wait a minute

Suddenly not 100% โ€œmemesโ€

Suddenly very few of the top ones are just โ€œmemesโ€ โ€” and when you look closer, you start to wonder if a single one was actually a case of just a good meme

Look at them,

+ Startup / AI startup type coins $GOAT, $ACT1, $ZEREBRO, $VINE, $JELLYJELLY, $GRIFFAIN, $LMT, $ARC

+ Or spinoffs from the rich startup coins, e.g. $FARTCOIN

+ Movement type coins, that are all about the people and not their flag, $PNUT, $ELON4AFD

+ A few around a viral moment but not at all about the depicted โ€œmemeโ€, which is neither a meme nor recognizable at all, e.g. $UFD

+ A MINORITY exceptions which may actually be meme + huge money insiders getting onboard from the start, e.g. $MOODENG, $MICHI, $CHILLGUY, $WOULD

+ Some which appear to be pure memes, but if you look closer were started by & backed by major rich celebrity VCs, e.g. $PIPPIN

The โ€œmemeโ€ in memecoin is a lie

Meme coins are not about the memes

Winners study winners

Losers study losers

In memecoins, the reason has to be some arguably-rational expectation-of-future-value-creation reason

โ€” As opposed to โ€œletโ€™s just refuse to sell broโ€ zero-sum type reason, which does NOT work out well in memecoins at all

Irrationally refusing breaks down in reality, e.g. the MANY โ€What if we all heldโ€ coins that keep appearing, e.g. this one from yesterday ^

Instead to be some rational expectation of value creation

Note: You do NOT have to AGREE that itโ€™s a good rational future-value-creation reason, just any people with enough money must agree that it is a real rational future-value-creation reason

โ€” Not just zero sum holding and no one ever pulling outโ€ฆ Or zero sum hoping to lure in other suckers on a zero-sum ponzu

Such ponzus can stay alive in other situations, where the ponzu operators enforce restrictions preventing their collapse

But that doesnโ€™t work in memecoins โ€” nothing to stop the โ€œletโ€™s just hold broโ€ ones from VERY QUICKLY collapsing, which they do

I.e. yes, mechanically, it works out to some not selling

โ€” But the type of REASON as for why theyโ€™re not selling is HUGELY important in determining whether the thing will survive long enough to reach huge market caps

E.g. pure ponzu-style letโ€™s just not sell, to attract more people who also wonโ€™t sell, and nothing more than that โ€” Very bad reason, works very briefly, but then collapses fast, in memecoins

๐Ÿ„ณ๐Ÿ„พ๐Ÿ„พ๐Ÿ„ผ๐Ÿ„ฟ๐Ÿ„พ๐Ÿ…‚๐Ÿ…ƒ๐Ÿ„ธ๐Ÿ„ฝ๐Ÿ„ถ
๐Ÿ’ฏ5
Utility coins are just one of many arguably-rational value-creation options

(As opposed to purely zero-sum, letโ€™s just hold bro.)

E.g. the movement coins, raising money for supporters of a movement, who the rich movement supporters genuinely believe creates net value that will be returned to the people โ€” Note that often only the FIRST major coin of its kind covering a certain people movement works, in these cases.

Endless arguably-value-creating method possibilities,

Though realistically they break down into a few categories being most common general categories

$LUIGI very clearly in the โ€œflag of a people movementโ€ category,

(1) Not funny at all, not to anyone, basically

(2) Not about the thing being depicted at all,

$LUIGI about taking down the evils of insurance and health care, not as much about the one schizo dude himself

$PNUT about taking down the horribly-behaving big state, not so much about the one squirrel itself

$ELON4AFD about the movement and what it stands for and hardly about elon himself,

Etc

Memecoins are not really about the memes

Apparently controversy over the meaning of meme is so common that many of Googleโ€™s top suggestions are about this dispute

Probably caused by the dude who coined the word โ€œmemeโ€ being a retard and trying to change and shape the word into some meaningless bs over the years, instead of allowing the linguistically useful concept he accidentally discovered take control

Real words are discovered, not invented

No different than Satoshi, who half-incorrectly-discovered the Bitcoin mechanism, coming in and saying we must revert to how he originally coded it

= essentially using cumulative work forward โ€” instead of cumulative work backward

โ€” Which was a HORRIBLE mistake that would instantly destroy Bitcoin if reverted to now, making it instantly cheaply attackable

โ€” No one would accept this โ€œrevertingโ€ to that โ€œoriginalโ€ Bitcoin meaning, no matter what the original Bitcoin author wanted

Same with all real words

Just because the dude who half-incorrectly-discovered and coined the thing originally has some retarded idea, doesnโ€™t mean he gets to dictate the meaning

Real words are discovered, not invented

Death of the author
