In June 2008, 2-year-old Caylee Anthony vanished in Orlando, Florida.
Her mother, Casey, never reported her missing. For 31 days, she just kept living as if nothing had happened.
Whenever Caylee's grandparents asked to see her, Casey had an excuse. She told them Caylee was with a babysitter and doing fine. But no one had actually seen the little girl.
During that time, Casey went to nightclubs, spent time with her boyfriend, and even got a tattoo reading βBella Vita.β
On July 15, Cayleeβs grandmother finally called 911. She said her granddaughter had been missing for a month and that Casey's car smelled like a dead body had been inside it.
When police began investigating, Casey claimed the nanny had kidnapped Caylee. That story was false. She also claimed she worked at Universal Studios and even walked detectives into the building before admitting she had no job there.
In December 2008, a utility worker found Caylee's remains in the woods, less than half a mile from her home.
Casey was charged with first-degree murder, and prosecutors asked for the death penalty. They argued that Casey had suffocated Caylee with duct tape because she wanted freedom from motherhood.
Her defense offered a different explanation: Caylee had drowned in the family pool, and Caseyβs father had helped hide her death. He denied it.
But the prosecution had a big problem. Caylee's body had been outside for months, so no one could say exactly how she died. There was no weapon, no witness and no confession.
In July 2011, the jury found Casey not guilty of killing her daughter. She was convicted only of lying to police. With credit for the time she had already spent in jail and good behavior, her sentence was almost over.
Twelve days later, she walked free.

Perhaps unrelated (or not), we have now reached the climax of the 1998-2000 internet bubble analog. Price analogs tend to fail sooner or later, and I wonβt be surprised if this one fails sooner (given the difference in valuations), but it has been a good roadmap

The reason young white men can't find jobs anywhere is because DEI is still happening. It's just that Leftists are keeping their heads down and being less public about how much they're racially discriminating to purge young white men from the labor market.
BREAKING: Mizzou official admits they still have DEI.
"We have something called The Bridge and they're really focused on DEI, like inclusion and stuff like that."
"That's like, their whole schtick."
They're focused on "social justice issues."
What's going on here, Mizzou?
