MORE TRANTIFA TERROR: Members of an Antifa terror cell in Huntsville, Ala. have been federally charged for allegedly making threats to kill ICE federal agents and possessing illegal firearms.
When one of the trans militants was detained by police last month, he was found with a cache of weapons, drugs and ammunition.
Levi "Cici" Belcher, a trans militant from Tennessee, and Anthony Elijah Slota (mugshot below), a trans sβx worker and armed militant, were wearing tactical gear and military-style equipment when they were detained. A search of the car produced a cache of weapons, Antifa propaganda, ammunition and 3D-printed pistols.
A search of the home they shared with another cell member, Tadashi Ryan Erekson (bearded man pictured below), resulted in authorities finding even more 3D-printed weapon components, Antifa propaganda and illegal guns.
Erekson was arrested after allegedly reaching for a concealed pistol on his ankle during the search of the Antifa base.
The cell was involved in Antifa "mutual aid" and the members posted Antifa propaganda online and photos and videos of their weapons. They were also involved in the Food Not Bombs Huntsville Antifa group.
What authorities discovered here mirrors how Antifa cells organize across the U.S. Earlier this year, a Texas Antifa terror cell was convicted and sentenced to hundreds of years in prison collectively after carrying out an anti-ICE shooting last year in Alvarado, Texas. At least four members of that cell are trans.

Japan just turned sleeping into a competition.
Dozens of people showed up in Tokyo to see who could fall asleep the fastest and sleep the deepest.
They had brain monitors to track their sleep, stuffed toys to cuddle, and a prize big enough to buy a much better bed.
It was all organized by mattress company Koala Sleep Japan as a fun promotion called Matt Race.
But there's a sad side to this. Japan already has some of the shortest average sleeping hours among OECD countries (38 mostly wealthy nations).
Maybe what Japan really needs isn't a sleep competition, but more time to actually sleep.

Chinaβs industrial profit growth is losing momentum:
Chinaβs industrial profits rose +4.2% YoY in August, the weakest YoY growth since November 2025.
This also marks the 4th consecutive monthly slowdown in growth.
Pressure is particularly visible in consumer-facing industries, where profits are falling in autos, clothing, and furniture.
Domestic demand continues to weaken, with consumption growth slowing to near zero while manufacturers, property developers, and infrastructure builders are cutting spending.
For the first 8 months of 2026, industrial profits were still up +15.7% YoY, but the gains are becoming increasingly concentrated, with the electronics industry contributing ~66% of total growth.
At the same time, raw-material industries contributed +6.2 percentage points to the overall increase, supported by higher commodity prices.
Weak domestic demand is weighing on Chinaβs economy.

I've always assumed stimulants make smart people sharper, but it's the opposite.
In a 2023 study, people on Ritalin, modafinil and dextroamphetamine worked harder on a complex problem, but the quality of their solutions dropped.
Plenty of people report feeling like their IQ drops by few points on e.g. modafinil.
I'd say these might feel useful for tedious work you absolutely disdain, but probably not for creativity.

WIRED: Australian company Apate has built an army of 350,000 AI bots that pose as scam victims to waste fraudsters' time. The bots answer scam calls, reply to texts and infiltrate scam chat groups using different personalities and languages. Some scammers reportedly spend over TWO HOURS talking to them.
Banks are already using the system, which Apate says has collected over 250,000 pieces of fraud intelligence, including scam URLs, money mule accounts, bank details and information about criminal operations.
