What non-tech guys don’t seem to understand here is that, technically, ethereum is really bad
Solidity is a an absolute nightmare, among the worst languages ever created for quickly writing secure and correct code
The contract size limits make everything ugly
Never solving fundamental problems around how to extend this tech beyond defi, pretending they had, with disastrous consequences
Zero built-in safety verification for key properties of tokens or dapps in general, nope they just declared that impossible and that we should trust smart contract auditors
Encouraging users to engage in terrible safety practices that repeatedly get them drained
Wallet ecosystem that was built for CEXes, and it shows. Often terribly broken
Everything arising from rushed poor decisions that the platform is now locked into long term
Everything just very technically ugly
Very ugly.
Really not technically great.
Ethereum success = massive first-mover advantage
But now that first-mover advantage is finally wearing off a little
Now the scorn will rain
