BREAKING: Bank of America Vice President Erin Piacenti, 32, was killed in a random stabbing attack in Times Square.
Police say a woman named Pamela Cisneros pulled two knives from a bag and stabbed Piacenti and a 68 year old man in unprovoked attacks near West 41st Street and Seventh Avenue.
Piacenti, from Chester, New Jersey, was rushed to Bellevue Hospital but died from her injuries.
The 68 year old man survived and is in stable condition.
Officers confronted Cisneros for about 4 minutes, ordering her to drop the weapons.
She refused, saying she would "rather kill both of you," before officers shot and killed her.
Police say Cisneros had no criminal record but had prior interactions involving mental health episodes.
