Another knife attack: a guy ran around with a knife and threatened people on the streets of Epinal.
After throwing his book in the face of a passerby, a firefighter subdued him, quickly joined by several people to hold him down.

A 68-year-old California retiree was stabbed to death outside his Bay Area home, allegedly by an illegal alien who had been released from jail just one day earlier. Police say Todd Stewart encountered 36-year-old Venezuelan national Marcos Arrante Valdez during an alleged burglary.
Authorities say Valdez had two previous burglary cases and had twice been released by the courts. DHS is urging California officials to keep him in custody and transfer him to ICE following his arraignment.
