In 1955 newly independent countries met in Bandung and decided to reject Western capitalism, unite as the Third World, and chart their own SOCIALIST path to development.
Ghana’s Kwame Nkrumah pushed it hardest with high tariffs, nationalized industry, and policies designed to discourage exports.
South Korea made the opposite bet and went all-in on export driven markets.
In 1970 the two countries sat at nearly identical incomes of $260 versus $250 per person.
50 years later, South Korea hit $32,000 while Ghana is still stuck at $1,786.

DETAILS FROM THE ONGOING SHILOH HENDRIX TRIAL:
Shiloh Hendrix, the woman who went viral, after allegedly calling a child the “n word” after he stole from her bag back in 2025, is on trial this week.
She’s facing two misdemeanor charges which could result in up to 90 days in jail and $1,000 in fines, not for any physical act she committed, but for “fighting words”.
According to local outlet KAAL, the judge said that jurors would be deciding whether the alleged use of “a slur towards the child should be considered “fighting words”…defined as words targeted at a person that would cause them to react violently”.
Shire Jimale, the father of the child who was caught stealing from Hendrix’s diaper bag, was questioned by the state and required TWO interpreters to understand the questions that were being asked.
Per reporter Tomhennessey69, Jimale apparently had to have the same question translated multiple times due to not understanding what was being asked (he also testified he's currently working as a bus driver, despite clearly not being able to understand English).
It was also discovered that Jimale's child was 8 at the time of the incident, not “5-years-old” as was originally being spread online and Jimale stated that he didn’t go to the police until over a week after everything happened, contradicting himself multiple times on the stand regarding fundraising after the incident.
Hendrix’s defense attorney argues that the charges are unconstitutional, protected by free speech and that Hendrix was provoked into her reaction, after being recorded by another man who had no relation to the child (and who was later found out to have a criminal record).
Closing arguments are scheduled for today and then the final decision regarding the two charges (one regarding the Somali who filmed her, and the other regarding the alleged conduct toward the child) will be left to the jury which is made up of 3 men and 5 women.

Those African genetics are ancestral and much closer to chimpanzee variants
We discovered that Africans have an entirely different class of ADME genes that encode for CYP450 family enzymes, the ones responsible for breaking down common pharmaceutical drugs like statins
As a result, Africans process drugs like morphine, PPI's, antidepressants, antiretrovirals, and notably statins than non-Africans do. In most cases, for the worse
Doctors are classically trained to understand this difference exists, and because Africans have a much higher incidence of obesity they often need statins to manage their cholesterol but can't use the same class as Europeans
Atorvastatin is usually recommended for Europeans while Africans are generally recommended Rosuvastatin
This is one of thousands of differences, but due to the nature of political correctness the vast majority of this research has never been done
