Anarchists and Antifa across the country have been memorializing 2019 anti-ICE, pro-trans terrorist Willem Van Spronsen and urging comrades to take direct action as revenge for his death. July 13 marked seven years since he was shot and killed in 2019 while carrying out out a firebombing terrorist attack against the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma, Wash.

Spronsen descended upon the facility carrying a rifle and using flares and Molotov cocktails to set fires to buildings and vehicles, and attempted to blow up a huge propane tank attached to a building. He was shot after he pointed a rifle at officers and ignored commands to drop the gun.

In the manifesto that he sent prior to his attack, he claimed association with Antifa and expressed support for his trans comrades. He was also a founding member of the Puget Sound John Brown Gun Club, an armed socialist group. Antifa then and now have been using his death as inspiration and a call to action for further anti-government attacks.
