βBreadβ meant armed squads confiscating grain from peasants, banning markets, and wrecking production, resulting in the 1921 famine that starved about 5 million to death.
βPeaceβ meant plunging Russia into civil war that killed millions and enforcing control with the Chekaβs Red Terror which translated to mass executions, hostages, persecution, and building a one party police state.
So he sort of did deliver what he promised if you understand commie doublespeak.

A Man Is Charged with Murder After Body Found at Ancient Stone Circle Following Summer Solstice
A man's body was discovered at the historic Nine Ladies Stone Circle in Derbyshire's Peak District on June 22, just after solstice celebrations.
Isaac Clare-Watts, 26, from Nottingham, was declared dead at the scene. Szymon Babynko, 23, originally from Poland and living in London, has been charged with his murder. He was also charged with attempted murder in a separate Chesterfield incident on Thursday.
Babynko was arrested and taken into custody. Heβs due in Derby Magistratesβ Court today.
Police had appealed for witnesses from the solstice gatherings at the 3,000β4,000-year-old Bronze Age site.
Brutal timing at a place tied to ancient rituals. There was definitely something dark going on when this happened.

Worldwide supply chain pressures are rising:
The Global Supply Chain Pressure Index is up to 1.8 points, the highest since July 2022.
This index measures how difficult it is for companies to move goods around the world, with positive readings signaling worsening disruptions.
The index jumped +1.1 points in April, marking the biggest monthly increase since March 2020.
This surge was driven by the Iran War, amid the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
The longer these disruptions persist, the worse delivery delays and price pressures across the global economy will become.
Global trade is facing a historic disruption.

I mean, theyβre not really out there stealing diapers and formula because theyβre desperate. Thatβs the story they try to sell you.
But even assuming it was 100% true, cool story, still theft, and it should be punished like every other violation of property rights.
The second you start carving out exceptions for obvious cases of property violations, the whole principle collapses.
Your sob story and your βneedβ just doesnβt override someone elseβs rights.
Thatβs a massive slippery slope with no bottom, and weβre already sliding fast under the guise of βcompassionβ in places like California where some items are βtheft-eligibleβ depending on their type and price.
But theft in any form should never be excused. No special pleading, no free passes, no rewriting the rules because feelings got involved.

US housing inventory growth is accelerating:
The monthly supply of new single-family homes rose +1.0 month in May, to 10.3 months, the highest since February 2009.
This indicator measures how many months it would take to sell all homes currently on the market at the current pace of sales.
The higher the reading, the weaker the demand relative to supply.
By comparison, the long-term median for this metric is ~6.0 months.
Since the 1970s, 6 of the 7 times this indicator surged to current levels, the US economy was already in a recession.
This comes as elevated mortgage rates and record homeownership costs are keeping buyers on the sidelines, leaving builders with growing inventories that they are struggling to clear.
The US housing market has rarely been this oversupplied.

Outraged French youth have begun throwing paper planes with the word 'remigration' on them at government buildings after the murder of 17-year-old Louis, whose death was recorded and posted online.
These aren't bald 40-year-olds that they can dismiss as skinheads.
They can ignore what this represents at their own risk.
