Take a picture of typical inner city public school students.
Then take a picture of private school students in the same city.
Think you might notice any difference between those 2 photos?
Are you saying that going to private school changes your skin color?
Does going to private school make you asian?
There are many good reasons to send children to expensive private schools instead of public schools, which is why people do it,
+ Stop bad teachers and classmates from blocking your children’s ability to learn
+ Prevent man-hating women from constantly trying to destroy their life
+ Powerful signaling effects from getting the stamp of approval from simply being accepted to a more prestigious school
+ Maybe making them adopt better values earlier, particularly if they are highly-impressionable women… in theory, tons of private schools bad or worse here these days. Homeschool maybe, though many suddenly finding out lately that their spouse turns out to be a full blown commie, so gl.
…but those are not the types of things we’re talking about here.
Talking about IQ, criminality, personality traits — in short, changing who they really are (as opposed to e.g. how the world views them.)
Detractors going to have to be much more specific about what they’re talking about here.

— should first show that the effect is not caused by filtering by genes.
(Ok you were talking about homeschool but most all same things apply. There are advantages in a few particular areas unrelated to personality traits — but likely not the areas you think. Beware.)

Sorry if you are not the parent or sibling in a large 5+ children family
— Then your experience here means NOTHING.
Only when seeing the biologically-determined variation in traits among siblings in much larger & mixed-gender families are you forced to admit that innateness is real, that nurture is not everything
This is likely a prime reason why belief in nature > nurture has collapsed
— Family size collapse.
No one is directly experiencing big families, raised in identical environment, and nonetheless innate personality differences shine through, so they can start to see the power of nature over nurture first hand.
