European courts are increasingly showing leniency toward criminals and terrorists if they are diagnosed with schizophrenia, deemed mentally unstable, or simply have very low IQs.

This makes little sense, because precisely these individuals are more likely to reoffend and pose the greatest threat to ordinary people. That should be all the more reason to keep them locked away from society.

This is especially problematic since Western European countries have recently taken in large numbers of immigrants from populations that have significantly higher rates of schizophrenia and substantially lower average intelligence than European populations.
