Greensboro, North Carolina — A 48-year-old man was shot and killed by police in an officer-involved shooting on Marion Street in August 2025.
According to Greensboro police, an officer was flagged down by a resident reporting a trespasser. The officer approached Said Ezzine, who refused repeated commands to stop, pulled out a weapon, and advanced toward the officer. The officer fired, striking Ezzine.
Officers rendered aid at the scene, but Ezzine was pronounced dead. The District Attorney later determined the use of deadly force was legally justified.

A 2-year-old’s hand got trapped in the closing doors of a J train at the Flushing Ave/Broadway station in Bed-Stuy around 1 a.m. Wednesday.
Passengers and an MTA worker quickly stepped in before FDNY firefighters arrived and safely freed the child. The toddler is recovering with no serious injuries reported.
