The bionic skin Robots will hit the headlines in September 2026.

Love it or not love it, get used to it.

There are 79 companies building this now.

No skin robots will ultimately be exception and not the rule.

And yes some we be very β€œpersonal” robots.

I hope we matureβ€”fast.

Investors are piling into South Korean stocks:

Call option notional open interest on the South Korea ETF, $EWY, surged to a record $5.5 billion last week.

The total dollar value of outstanding bullish bets has risen +600% over the last several weeks.

To put this into perspective, weekly call open interest did not exceed $700 million before 2025.

Meanwhile, the fund has also attracted +$6.3 billion in inflows year-to-date.

As a result, the South Korean ETF is up +68% year-to-date, and +181% over the last 15 months, making it the best-performing major equity market globally.

Investors are positioning for another leg higher in South Korean stocks.

I decided to empirically check if this was true using the Urban Institute Education Data Portal for harmonized NCES CCD, CRDC, and EdFacts data.

A model with race, sex, state, and free lunch shares predicts school test scores at r = 0.85, and a bit higher with a combined score.

Meet the Finnish 'Elephant Gun.' The Lahti L-39 was built to shred tanks.

Against a human target? Resistance is nonexistent. The kinetic energy is so massive the target basically disappears on impact.

Earlier this year, Ipsos published results from an annual survey in which it asked thousands of women and men around the world, "When it comes to giving women equal rights with men, have things gone far enough in your country?"

The columns on the right show the percentage of men (M) and women (W) who somewhat or strongly agreed that things have gone far enough. The blue and pink bars on the graph represent the size of the sex difference in agreement.

Interestingly, Sweden, a country known for its "gender equality," exhibited the largest sex difference in agreement to the question, and this was largely driven by so few women in Sweden believing that gender equality efforts have gone far enough in their country.

In four countries - Mexico, Thailand, India, and Malaysia - a greater percentage of women than men agreed that things have gone far enough.

Since I posted that a month ago, El Salvador's homicide rate for the year has *continued* falling.

They're on track for an *even lower* final homicide rate.

48 empirical studies, over years of research: women, on average, initiate violence in intimate partnerships more than men when violence exists. There are a few studies that are outside this scope; however, the pattern is clear.

These findings are not new. They've been published from the 1970s, and repeated in study after study.

The arguments against viewing these rates at face value tend to be:

-They only count "low level" violence- slapping, shoving.

*When men slap or shove, it's never termed low level. It's termed what it is: domestic violence.

-Women are smaller and weaker, so their shoves and slaps cause less physical damage. For this reason, their shoves and slaps don't count.

*Relying on physical damage is a murky justification. First, it immediately discounts any emotional and psychological impact the man might have. Second, it misstates that men aren't harmed, physically, in IPV. Approximately a third of abused men experience severe physical harm. On the opposite, most abused women experience bruising, not severe harm. Third, it ignores the truth that IPV escalates. A slap today might not be just a slap tomorrow.

-She was defending herself/pushed to her limit/trapped by the patriarchal structure of the relationship.

*This is extremely dangerous to apply wholesale. As IPV is researched more, it's become clear the archetype controlling, abusive man DOES exist but is rarely the norm. Studies repeat that among both abusive men and women, most violence stems from anger, jealousy, and a desire to control the actions of their partner, singular: examples- don't break up. Don't talk to another person. It also removes the focus from the woman's actions and hyperfocuses on the victim.
