Wholesale used vehicle prices rose +4.2% MoM and +5.7% YoY in March, to $20,102, the highest since mid-2023.
This also marks the largest YoY increase since the 2020 pandemic price spike.
EVs led the surge at +8.0% YoY, to $28,471, the highest since February 2024.
This was followed by non-EV, which jumped +6.0% YoY, to the highest level since October 2023.
Wholesale used vehicle prices are now +$6,500, or +48%, above the pre-pandemic levels seen in 2019.
Used-car price pressure is building again.

Video shows the moment police located a suspect who fled from law enforcement in Missouri City. The suspect allegedly showed up at his grandmother's home last night looking for his girlfriend and police believe a physical assault took place, but the suspect was gone by the time they arrived.
Today, police say he returned to the home with a gun. When law enforcement approached, they say he began to evade, jumping over fences until he was taken into custody at this body of water.
The incident forced the closure of Sienna Parkway as well as caused several schools to go into secure mode.
