Ponte Nova, Brazil — A 40-year-old man attacked his ex-partner with an axe in the middle of the street, a day after being released from prison.

The woman was walking with a friend when the attacker rode up on a motorcycle, told her, “Before I get arrested, you're going to die” and began attacking her.
