Dayton, OH. Police have released body camera video showing the moments officers tried to wrestle a gun away from a man (Reginald Thomas, 44) before shooting and killing him.
Police say the incident started when an officer saw him commit a traffic violation while riding a bike and stopped him. They say Thomas ran, fought with the officer, and appeared to reach for a weapon during the struggle. A second officer then fired one shot, hitting him.He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Don’t run, fight a police officer, then reach for a gun. It probably won’t end well.
