โKamala Harris proposes a regime of "equity" based on a simple principle: From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs. This should sound familiar.โ

Real tech advancement coming, but almost definitely will be financed by memecoin wins, not through direct fundraising.
โTo understand our civilisation, one must appreciate that the extended order (new market mechanisms etc) resulted not from human design or intention but spontaneously: it arose from unintentionally conforming to certain traditional and largely moral practices, many of which men tend to dislike, whose significance they usually fail to understand, whose validity they cannot prove, and which have nonetheless fairly rapidly spread by means of an evolutionary selection - the comparative increase of population and wealth - of those groups that happened to follow them. The unwitting, reluctant, even painful adoption of these practices kept these groups together, increased their access to valuable information of all sorts, and enabled them to be 'fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it' (Genesis 1:28). This process is perhaps the least appreciated facet of human evolution.โ
Legit breakthrough tech advancements, especially for new market mechanisms, have almost never been financed directly.
Hayek was right.

Now, the savvy will point out tht this does eventually curve back upward, for the tiny fraction of the popultion whose income is into the millions.
My bet: It DOESNโT actually curve back up when both in the couple have a comparable salaries in the millions, e.g. suggesting that greater financial security or whatever leads to women wanting to have children.
No. Instead, Iโd bet that BOTH upward curves, both on the left and the right, are artifacts of the REAL cause of higher fertility rates,
= men earning far more than women
Am I suggesting the pay gap should be forcibly made huge again, to save the human race?
No, Iโm not suggesting anything at all.
Just pointing out the truth.
What is to be done from there, Iโm not sure.
Embrace the truth.

And would you look at that,
Poor side:
In those poorest places, with highest fertility rates, men earning far more than their partner(s).
Rich side:
Likewise, in those very top income brackets, where the fertility curve picks up, men are far more often making those huge amounts, men making far more than their partner.
Middle:
And of course as we know, in the middle, often both the man and women are working, often with not such a dramatic difference in salary.
It all fits.
Greater the ratio of menโs earnings to womens -> greater the fertility rate.
Why does there not even seem to be any chart of this earnings gap (not ignoring hours worked, just overall earnings no matter what) -vs- fertility rate?
Because recognizing this reality is practically a thought crime.
