Americans are extremely worried about their jobs:

The perceived probability for households to find a new role within 3 months after a job loss is down to 44.0%, the 2nd-lowest on record.

This percentage has declined -12 points since October 2024.

To put this into context, the 2020 pandemic low was 46.2% while the 2013 bottom was 45.7%.

This comes as hiring activity remains at historically depressed levels.

The US hiring rate stands at 3.3%, the 2nd-lowest since the 2020 low and in-line with levels seen in the middle of the 2008 Financial Crisis.

Furthermore, employers announced plans to hire 18,061 people in January and February, down -56% from the same period in 2025.

A man once feted as the great hope of the Czech Republic, and at the age of just 21 years old the youngest member of parliament in the country’s history also became the first politician to be jailed for sexual violence.

Dominik Feri was spoken of as an extraordinary talent: a rising star with a million followers on Instagram, who made politics relevant for younger generations.

Politico even ranked him among 28 people who would shape Europe in the years ahead.

In 2024, Feri was sentenced to three years in jail for raping two girls, including one minor, as well as a case of attempted rape. Now, the former Czech member of parliament has been charged with an additional rape.

The case involves a 17-year-old girl who said she consented to sex but alleged that Feri had removed the condom.

Ironically, Feri was one of the few elected representatives who had vocally and publicly supported the Czech MeToo campaign.

He has denied any wrongdoing.
