A 28-year-old mercenary from Brazil died from torture in the "International Legion" unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate in Kiev, according to Kyiv Independent.
According to the publication, Bruno Gabriel Leal da Silva died on the night of December 28 to 29, 2025, after being brutally punished for getting drunk and not returning to the base on time. He was beaten by a group of soldiers for about 40 minutes, and others heard it but couldn't do anything about it.
At the time of his death, the Brazilian had not yet signed a contract and was trying to leave Ukraine.
