Today is a very special day for me. It’s my 23rd anniversary with my wife

I’ve spent more time on this earth with her than without her, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. Sometimes I honestly think God put her in my life because He knew I needed her or I would’ve fvcked up. Like He looked down and said, “Yeah, this guy has potential… but without a wife to keep him grounded, he’s gonna fvck everything up.” And He wasn’t wrong.

I still don’t really know what she saw in me, because when I was 20, I was NOT a catch

I was broke, stuck in a sh&tty job, and dealing with a rough family situation. After six months together, I told her I needed to get out of my parents’ place ASAP for my mental health… and she came with me.

That’s when we started living together. It was hard. We had almost nothing. The place was tiny. But I had big dreams, I was focused, and she believed in me.

I say we had nothing back then, but that’s not true. We had each other, and that was enough. Some of my best memories come from those early days when we were building our life from scratch. And every single day, I love her more than the day before.

Hedge funds are ramping up bearish bets on the Japanese yen:

Leveraged funds raised net yen shorts by +35,624 contracts in the week ending January 13th, the largest weekly increase since May 2015.

This marks the first jump in bearish positioning over the last 5 weeks.

As a result, net short positions jumped to -100,000 contracts, the most bearish since Q1 2024.

This comes as investor expectations are growing that Prime Minister Takaichi will win the snap election and pursue more fiscal stimulus, further widening Japan's deficit.

Meanwhile, the Yen is trading at 158 against the US Dollar, near its lowest since July 2024.

The currency is approaching 160, the threshold where the Japanese Ministry of Finance last intervened to defend it.

Hedge funds are betting heavily against the yen.
