A lot of people claim they can spot insider trading activity on Polymarket. If they do, they are engagement baiting, selling a product, or are morons
The truth is that the volumes on individual Polymarket (and Kalshi) markets generally are terrible, and there is no edge in watching flow for unusual activity. Maybe someone on the inside drove the volume up for Maduro contracts, but you can't tell the difference b/w insider trading and casual idiots.
The websockets and APIs are so easy for Polymarket. I made a bot that flags certain criteria to see if there is an edge - same w/ Kalshi. Among other things, I started internally flagging 10% moves with $5000 volume within a 60 minute period and it flagged Maduro contracts over and over for weeks. If you bit on any of the contracts you would have lost your ass betting that Maduro was captured by End of 2025. Maybe you would have seen some guy buying low volume lottos at 2:22 AM on Jan 3rd (I put a box around it in my screenshot) but that would have been luck and indiscernible from other volume
The Polymarket volumes are so low that 99.99% of "unusual volume" is just people moving thin markets and noise, and when you are hearing about Insider Activity, its people cherry picking huge outliers that are impossible to deduce from garbage volume. And if there is actually an edge, you won't find it - someone else who is faster than you and is dedicating more actual resources and time will find it - and for them it's probably wack-a-mole of small edges that disappear in hours or days
You are better off looking for ineffciciencies elsewhere. My bot produced the blue screenshot based on real time alerts to me, 2nd screenshot is final day volume charted from hashdive. No actual volume came in until it was too late to make real money.
