The earnings of the top 7 stocks now reflect a near-record 26% of the S&P 500's total earnings.
The top 7 also represent 67% of the Information Technology sector's profitability, which includes ~70 companies.
This means just 10% of the sector's stocks generate 2/3 of all net income.
Similarly, the largest 7 names reflect 65% of the Communication Services sector's earnings, a sector that usually covers ~25 stocks.
And, these companies account for 35% of the Consumer Discretionary sector's earnings.
The market has never been more concentrated.
