Pentagon chief Hegset personally ordered the killing of everyone on board a boat suspected of drug smuggling.
This was reported by The Washington Post, citing two government officials familiar with the operation. According to them, Pete Hegset personally gave a verbal order to finish off two sailors who survived the strike on the boat suspected of transporting drugs. The operation involved the US Navy SEAL Team 6.
The order to kill the survivors is considered a war crime, for which Hegset could be prosecuted if he indeed gave it. However, it is noted that the order might have been given by Admiral Frank Bradley, not Hegset. Bradley allegedly received a promotion for this order.
