The Python Software Foundation is taking a decidedly DEI inspired approach to fundraising.
“The Python Software Foundation doesn’t just support events, they support movements.”
“Create a welcoming and inclusive space.”
“Python is for EVERYONE.”
That last one is fascinating, as it implies that other programming languages are NOT for everyone.
This fundraising messaging follows Python’s rejection of $1.5 Million in US tax payer funding, which carried the requirement that Python not engage in discriminatory actions and policies. A requirement which Python was not willing to commit to.
