The quoted post about Fuentes post has 67k views, and (as of now) 400 replies. That is an extraordinary number of replies given the number of views. In fact, thats the most replies I have had to any post in MONTHS, even when I go viral.
A post with similar views (70k) got me 63 replies (pic 1). A viral post that got 1.1 Million views got me 370 replies (pic 2). My most replied to tweet in the past two months had 3 Million Views and got 1,600 replies (pic 3), which is about 1800 views per reply. A tweet about Fuentes with 67K views gets me 400 replies, which is about one reply for every 167 views.
What this means is that posts about Nick Fuentes receive an absolutely astounding level of engagement relative to how many people have actually seen them. This means one of two things:
1. There are bot farms which are being used to engage with posts by and about Nick Fuentes
2. Nick Fuentes has an extraordinarily high engagement audience that replies to and engages with absolutely everything anyone one says about him.
Either way, this sort of engagement is not of a piece with the natural and organic engagement my other posts have received. The amount of action that a Nick Fuentes post gets is spectacular, and that leads me to think that what's going on here is that Nick has cultivated an audience of very active followers, and those followers kick up a storm whenever anyone says anything about Fuentes. Because of the high volume of engagement, many people get the false impression that Nick Fuentes has enormous influence and pull.
That's not the case.
What you are seeing is a either a small but intensely dedicated fanbase that creates disproportionately high amounts of engagement around posts mentioning Fuentes, or you are seeing bot-farmed signal boosting.
Take a look at Pic 4. It is a picture of a post that got attacked so hard that I was the main character on X/twitter for a day and rolling stone did a write up about it. That post had 4 Million views and about a thousand replies, Which is 4000 views for every reply. That post made me the main character on leftist twitter during the height of the woke era and was so big that a rolling stone reporter did an online write up on me (no joke, I'll link the rolling stone piece in the comments)...and even that post doesn't get the level of engagement on a per-view basis that the Fuentes post is getting.
So, what this all shows is that the influence of Fuentes is a mirage created by an audience that is relatively small, but sends a very strong signal by being very high engagement and being very loud.
Don't let this fool you, Nick doesn't have enough of a following to make a difference in electoral politics, and his cultural influence is, for the moment, a mirage.
