The number of global ETF launches jumped +19% YoY in October, to a record 137.
This brings the YTD total to 918, already +25% above the full-year 2024 record of 736.
Equity ETFs saw 95 new listings, or 69% of the total, while cryptocurrency ETFs recorded 15 launches, more than DOUBLE September’s figure.
Leverage equity and structured product ETFs reflected nearly half of all new funds, at 67.
At the current pace, the ETF industry is set to exceed 1,100 launches in 2025.

The number of US-listed domestic companies has fallen below 4,000 this year, the lowest since 2020.
Since 2022, this count has dropped by -1,800, or -31%.
At this pace, the number of publicly listed companies could decline to the lowest on record as early as next year.
By comparison, about 6,500 firms were trading at the beginning of the century.
Meanwhile, cumulative corporate buybacks have reached a massive $12.7 trillion since 1998.

New-home prices in China's 70 major cities fell -0.45% MoM in October, the steepest drop in a year.
At the same time, resale home prices fell -0.66% MoM, the largest decline in 13 months.
All 70 cities surveyed recorded declines in both new and resale home prices, confirming broad-based weakness across the entire market.

BREAKING: DoorDash driver who was fired for sharing a video of a customer and falsely claiming she was sexually assaulted has been arrested and now faces felony charges.
Livie Rose Henderson, instead of leaving the customer’s meal at the door as instructed, entered his home, found him asleep on the couch with his pants down, and recorded him. After posting the video all over the internet, she claimed she had been sexually assaulted and even filed a police report.
The customer reported the incident, which led to an investigation and the deactivation of Henderson’s DoorDash account for violating privacy policies.
Henderson now faces two felony charges: unlawful surveillance for amusement or profit, and unlawful dissemination of a surveillance image to sell or publish.
