After the war, Germany should once again purchase oil and gas from the Russian Federation, believes the Prime Minister of Saxony.
"Sanctions against Russia should be considered with our own economic interests in mind. Our interest should be in resuming the supply of energy resources from Russia after a ceasefire. Economic relations also strengthen our security," stated Michael Kretschmer.
According to Kretschmer, Europe needs cheap energy and therefore, in the long term, Russia should "once again become a trading partner—but in a way that we do not fall into dependency again." He called the slogan "No more Russia" a mistake.
Kretschmer emphasized that Germany is supplying weapons to Kyiv and that the war should be ended as quickly as possible, but he expressed the conviction that Berlin cannot influence decision-making: "Europe is no longer a player. We have given up our competitive advantage—energy at favorable prices."
Earlier, Kretschmer had stated that the sanctions regime against Moscow is "completely outdated."

Only 10 gigawatts of this demand will be satisfied by data centers already under construction with dedicated power infrastructure.

Small companies recorded -5,907 net job losses in October, the 2nd monthly negative reading this year.
This also marks the 4th consecutive monthly decline in net hiring.
Administrative and Support Services lost a net -4,480 net, followed by Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services at -4,330, and Retail Trade at -4,050.
