Wasted all of yesterday on this horsesh&t Codex constantly lies that it can see images, when really it’s not multi-modal at all, and instead at best does a tool call to crudely convert images and questions about images into text, which works absolutely horribly…

i.e. calling an external AI and getting back extremely limited information from the tool, not actually gaining full access to “see” the image in future reasoning

Which is a shame because wasting time on the extremely low-tier task of UI creation is exactly the type of thing I’d love to outsource to AIs
