Some locals wondered if Sweden changed its own character just to appease others in pursuit of multiculturalism.

This Soviet town of scientists in the Siberian forest still makes great discoveries

Soviet city of scientists located in the middle of Siberia. This small town smack in the middle of a real forest is still buzzing with activity.

Historically, its physicists developed one of the first hadron colliders in the world, archeologists discovered a new branch of evolution (Denisovan man) and geneticists domesticated wild foxes. Scientists may make their discoveries in completely different fields of research, but they all work and live in one place - Akademgorodok near Novosibirsk, built in the late 1950s in a dense forest.

More than half a century later, Siberian scientists continue to study our universe, inventing new materials and technologies. In addition to a couple of dozen research institutes, the town also has a new technology park and is home to Novosibirsk State University.

Argentinian DNA: The Fracture / 2019
#Argentina

Argentinians take politics as seriously as football, and past left-right conflicts are still dividing their society. The antagonism between the left and the right often goes beyond class-consciousness. This divide, known as The Fracture (โ€˜La Grietaโ€™), is a legacy of the violence between Marxist guerrillas and the military dictatorship that ruled Argentina from 1976 to 1983. The documentary features victims of that period and hears from famous โ€˜Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayoโ€™.

CIA directed a secret operation called โ€˜Prologโ€™ that stoked nationalist sentiment in Ukraine by smuggling anti-Soviet literature. What are the milestones and outcome of this covert action?
